At your first dental visit to Ardent Lynn Valley, unless you need an emergency dental procedure or have a specific question, a complete dental exam will be conducted by our dentist.
During this initial appointment, and at subsequent regular check-up exams, our dentist, hygienist, and dental assistant will perform the following assessments:
Diagnostic X-Rays (Radiographs)
Check for dental decay, tumors, cysts, bone loss, or other potential bone abnormalities.
Assess tooth impactions, maxillary sinuses, jaw joints, and more.
Oral Cancer Screening:
Examine your face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer using palpation and Velscope technology.
Gum Disease Evaluation:
Assess your gums and the bone around your teeth for any signs of periodontal (gum) disease.
Examination of Tooth Surfaces:
Check for decay using special dental instruments.
Examination of Existing :
Restorations Evaluate the condition of your fillings, crowns, veneers, and other restorations.
